About Us

Hello, and welcome.

The LGBTQ Veterans Alliance is a non-profit organization consisting of queer and allied veterans, family, and friends who strive to better the lives and community of LGBTQ veterans.

We closely work with various other veteran's organizations, and nonprofits, and refer veterans who need help when filing for benefits such as education, health, housing, and work, and we also aid veterans who were given a Dishonorable discharge due to the suspicion of homosexuality before and during "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

Regularly we host a series of events from social meetings (Bar Nights, meetings, and dinners), to charity fundraisers that benefit the LGBTQ, veterans, or Memphis communities as a whole.

Future Goals

Create a scholarship program for those needing assistance in school, or certifications/tests

Start a competitive cooking team mixing members and community volunteers

We are trying to obtain our certification for the "Transition to Success Program" to further aid our veterans

We would like to provide workshops, job fairs, and trainings
